Halo Mimi Design Process, Video Production in New Orleans

Mimi Holaday competed with 11 other designers in the New Orleans Fashion Week Top Design Competition. Holaday contacted Beyond Media to film the competition In New Orleans, and with footage from the event we created a brand story video for the Halo Mimi website.

Project

Beyond Media attended New Orleans Fashion Week to record the event. With our backstage passes in hand, we went to work. Holaday was the winning designer of the Top Design Competition and the Yelp People’s Choice award, which was selected by the audience. When the competition was over, Holaday came to us about including a background story highlighting the origin of her company name and design process. Beyond Media was up for the challenge, so we set up an interview to capture her story.

Results

We created the Halo Mimi brand story using elements from the runway, backstage and Holaday’s personal interview. Beyond Media collaborated with Holaday throughout the editing process to ensure all of her needs were met and create the look and feel she wanted. We also created a Facebook version of the video for cross-promotion of Halo Mimi.
